Before You Visit
A Senior Living Community
We would love to meet you! Making an in-person visit to one of our assisted living and memory care communities is highly encouraged. You have conducted your initial online research or had a phone conversation, so now it’s time to see a Dominion Community first hand. Our assisted living and memory care communities are open seven days a week and able to accommodate your busy schedule to meet you at your convenience.
SOME THINGS TO HELP YOU PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT
Ask a friend or family member to join on your visit, even better if it’s someone who will be actively involved in the decision making. An additional person often brings a fresh perspective to the mix.
Pay attention to how the community looks, feels, and smells. Consider this as soon as you drive to the entrance and walk through the door. We take pride in making sure our communities are beautiful from the inside out.
When on the tour, does the Executive Director take the time to learn about and understand your situation? An excellent tour will always include time for talking and relationship building.
Feel free to speak with the residents in the common areas. Our residents are often active and engaged in activities outside of their rooms – and most are more than willing to spend some time chatting!
If you are considering Dominion Senior Living for a loved one, and they join you on the tour – be sure to ask their opinion. Our team members will speak directly to them, but sometimes it helps to have a familiar face asking questions as well.
Join us for a meal or activity! Since community life is always bustling, we more than likely have a devotional, game, or meal going on. We would love to have you stay.
Forgot to ask a question? We know visiting a new community can sometimes be overwhelming, we are always just an email, phone call, or visit away.
