Lindsey Daugherty has grown up in the senior living industry and considers it an integral part of her life story. Her passion for senior living began by visiting her grandmother who worked as a caregiver in a community.
Read More About Lindsey
During that time, she found herself drawn to serve the aging and enjoyed visiting with seniors who lived in the community where her grandmother worked. Once she was old enough to volunteer, Lindsey served in a senior community where her mother was a nurse.
As time passed, Lindsey took on the role of a caregiver while attending nursing school. It was apparent to her early on that her calling was to serve seniors. Lindsey was able to fully experience almost all aspects of senior living by working in roles including Caregiver, Nurse, Memory Care Director, Marketing and Sales Director, Executive Director, and most recently as a Regional Director of Operations.
With over 20 years of experience and many years of continued education in the full continuum of senior care, Lindsey felt a strong calling to do more. She wanted to be an expert in the whole picture and to make senior living better. Although Lindsey climbed the ladder, it became apparent that the ladder was not for her and it only took her further away from her gift. She not only wanted to be ‘boots on the ground’ and working side by side with a team but also to provide the best environment for residents and team members alike.
Lindsey believes seniors should have a voice in their own care. She considers a community as one big family that requires a strong commitment to each other to achieve positive human impact. She is confident her gift is to interact with people every day while giving love and support. Lindsey truly feels she was lead to join the mission and vision of Dominion Senior Living and to serve the South Carolina Upstate area. Lindsey, her husband, five children, and one grandchild reside in Anderson, South Carolina. She is honored to serve and impact all people who enter the doors of Dominion Senior Living and to be a faithful steward of God’s grace.
